Let’s be clear, this experience is only for the streetartholics and not the average traveler. If after a trip your SD cards are full of street art pics and if you prefer exploring the city for hidden murals to sightseeing, then you are just like us!
In the beginning, we start our walk in the center of Athens. Get a fresh perspective on an ancient city when you join a passionate street art photographer and bona fide member of the Athens art scene on this intimate guided tour. Learn about the techniques, inspirations, and artists behind mesmerizing murals and gaudy graffiti as you explore Kerameikos, Gazi, Psirri, Monastiraki, and Omonia Square.
Well, that was only an introduction. Although you shouldn’t have skipped the first part of our walk, that was the part of the city that everybody gets to see. Everyone else offering street art walks in Athens will take you through the center of the city and maybe some blocks around it. These are the areas that we already visited. Don’t worry though, we got you covered! You will have the opportunity to see much more in the second part.
Before the second part, we will take a break in our Art lab where you can relax and create! We will show you our own collection of art from various Greek street artists. Canvases, art prints, fanzines, and wall art are all created by local street artists to decorate the walls of our Art lab. If you feel like it, grab a spray and create with our help graffiti on the walls of the Art lab for yourself. Alternatively, you can participate in one of our art workshops that take place in the lab. During the workshop, you will create your very own tote bag or canvas using spray paint, acrylics, and stencils. A nice gift to take back home. Relax and recharge, enjoy a beverage or a coffee treat, and get ready for the second part of our street art hunt. (All the activities offered in the Art Lab are included in the price!)
After the much-needed break, we hop on the metro and our street art marathon continues. You didn’t expect that to be of walking distance from the Acropolis, did you? We now go off the beaten path and you get to see parts of the city that no one else will show you. When everybody else offers street art walks in the center of the city, we will take you to the non-touristy part of Athens, far away from souvenir shops, hotels, and Airbnb. Meet new neighborhoods and discover street art gems and murals well hidden from the average traveler's eye.
